OpenFlow Suite 2022
OpenFlow SuiteTM 2022 is another step forward in the continuous development of Beicip-Franlab E&P Software Suite.
Bringing new capabilities, more user-friendliness and better performances, OpenFlow Suite is now more than ever a complete platform for basin, petroleum system and reservoir assessment to address the O&G industry challenges, while engaging in the energy transition with solutions for geothermal and carbon storage modeling.
The interface of this version is supported on Windows 10 only, but DionisosFlow®, TemisFlowTM, KronosFlowTM, FracaFlow® and PumaFlow® numerical simulators and calculators remain compatible with both Windows 10 and Linux RH7 to take advantage of the latest cluster technologies.
Remember that OpenFlow SuiteTM is also available on the CLOUD , which allows a global access to a high-performance and always up-to-date installation, tailored to your operational needs.
with DionisosFlow® & CougarFlow®
DionisosFlow® 2022 brings developments that enhance the software on several fronts, particularly the refinement of results for reservoir applications, the enrichment and addition of modelled processes, and the automation of calibration through the link with CougarFlow®.
Indeed, the increased application of DionisosFlow® at reservoir scale as well as mature basins necessitates the development of features that can accompany and facilitate these demands. The 2022 version of DionisosFlow® thus brings a reservoir gridding tool to adjust the results resolution to user needs, new ecological constraints for a better reproduction of carbonate systems, and water table calculation as a new proxy for early diagenetic impact and a building block for upcoming developments in diagenetic processes modelling.
Finally, automatic calibration to well data is now a reality. Associated to CougarFlow®, DionisosFlow® now benefits from a gradient-based optimization algorithm on objective functions to automatically calibrate models to well data.
with KronosFlowTM
KronosFlowTM 2022 has a two-fold objectives: increase study productivity with many new options and tools to speed-up section restoration, and increase simulation capabilities on the basin modeling side.
Indeed, in addition to many ergonomics improvements and new tools at all steps of the workflow, several major options become available for basin and petroleum system assessment. It starts with the possibility to model accurately, from restoration to simulation, ductile deformation including salt movement or mud volcanoes, continues with the possibility to use a coupled lithospheric model for an accurate computation of basal temperature and heat flow through time, and finishes with the possibility to simulate biogenic gas generation along with thermogenic fluids.
It is also now possible to georeference a KronosFlowTM model at present day and to export all its key steps to third-party applications through the IHF format. These last options extend the use of KronosFlowTM models beyond the OpenFlow SuiteTM for a better integration in E&P workflows.
with TemisFlowTM & CougarFlow®
TemisFlowTM 2022 marks a new step in the transition towards our new generation simulator ArcTem with the release of two major functionalities: the possibility to use a coupled lithospheric model for an accurate modeling of basal heat flow and temperature through time, and the availability of the biogenic gas module which was released last year in Visco simulator. ArcTem is now also able to account for lateral HI variation, and Tmax and organic porosity available as simulation outputs.
In addition, many enhancements have been brought to existing model building and post-processing tools and new options developed to ease and speed-up daily work. Among these, new Groovy scripts are made available for geothermal studies and the use of external Python scripts.
Finally, TemisFlowTM 2022 also benefits from CougarFlow’s latest developments with the automatic calibration to well data. This long-awaited functionality comes true with the possibility to define an objective function based on well log data to automatically find the closest and best calibrated model through optimization algorithms.
with FracaFlow®
FracaFlow® 2022 focuses on data import/export filters improvement.
These awaited enhancements strengthen FracaFlow’s compatibility with third-party solutions, but also allow for a substantial gain of time for model building and analysis. Some of the enhancements also improve the precision of certain results.
with PumaFlow® , PVTFlowTM & CougarFlow®
PumaFlow’s transition towards a new generation reservoir simulation workflow, co-built by Beicip-Franlab, Kappa Engineering and IFPEN, is still on-going. While the new product is being designed and developed, PumaFlow® 2022 keeps evolving to offer more possibilities with the simulation of new phenomena such as the geo-mechanical stress, the wettability change as a function of salinity, the computation of interfacial tension and GPL.
PumaFlow® thus extends its multi-scale and multi-purpose panel of applications, from the accurate simulation of huge oil and gas fields to core experiments, while offering dedicated functionalities for geothermal and CCUS simulation.
Several interface enhancements were also brought to the version to answer users’ needs and feedback.
PumaFlow® 2022 is still intimately connected to PVTFlowTM for fluids modeling and CougarFlow® for uncertainty modeling and assisted history match.
