CobraFlow complements existing modeling software for the demanding Geologist looking for the most accurate and geologically meaningful results. For lithofacies simulations, CobraFlow offers a plurigaussian simulation technique, using matrix proportions, that takes into account non-stationarity such as diagenesis, dolomitisation and alterations. CobraFlow also offers fast, flexible and stable FFT-MA (Fast Fourier Transform Moving Average) algorithms for continuous property modeling. Besides these advanced methods, CobraFlow provides all the other classical methods such as krigging, sequential Gaussian simulations and deterministic methods.
In addition to traditional up-scaling algorithms like average power, Cardwell and Parson, CobraFlow comes with advanced techniques developed by the IFPEN with the aim of conserving geological information in the reservoir grid.
CobraFlow comes with a direct link to Petrel. It allows its seamless integration into existing workflows, thus enriching the quality of the results.
CobraFlow is part of the history matching loop performed using CougarFlow and your preferred simulator (Eclipse, VIP/Nexus, PumaFlow). Only modifying the dynamic parameters may build a non-realistic simulation model, even when a match is obtained. CobraFlow can be included into your calibration loop to directly modify the Petrel or Gocad static properties.
